Signal 01 / Objective
What Roll The Block asks of you
A spatial board that asks you to roll a rectangular block to a destination in the correct orientation.
A practical first-session plan
Before rolling, picture both the block's destination square and its new orientation. Near narrow paths, count the full two-cell footprint instead of following only the leading edge. Work backward from an upright goal when the final approach is unclear.
Signal 02 / Controls & how to play
What to read before the first flip
Visualize the block's full footprint after each direction, especially near narrow paths and open edges.
Input to expect
Use arrow keys, swipes, or the directional control supplied by the player.
Signal 03 / First-session plan, quick tip & recovery
One variable worth changing when a route stalls
Work backward from the final upright position when forward experimentation keeps missing the goal.
Diagnose a stalled run
If the block reaches the goal area lying down, the route has the wrong parity or approach direction. Revisit an earlier turn that changes orientation rather than repeating the same final move from another side.
Signal 04 / FAQ
Two questions before your first roll
Which control is easiest to start with?
Arrow keys and swipes both work, and the player adds a directional control for touch. Start with whichever feels natural and watch how each flip changes the block's footprint before you commit.
What does an upright finish actually require?
The block must be standing on the target tile, so the route has to leave room for the final flip to set it upright. Lying across the goal square does not complete the level; plan the approach so the last move ends with the block standing.
