Arena read

Grow without closing your own route

Food adds length, but extra length also makes tight turns harder. A good opening route collects nearby food while leaving a clear curve for the way back.

Opening read

Trace broad arcs through open space and keep an eye on larger worms that can turn a safe lane into a barrier. Treat crowded food clusters as optional when the exit is unclear.

Movement choices

Use speed as a decision

The movement surface shown by the player is your steering reference. Boost is most useful when it has a purpose, such as crossing open ground or escaping a closing line.

Input note

Direct the worm with the displayed movement control. In dense traffic, favor a slower line that preserves turning room instead of holding the speed control continuously.

Recovery note

Make the next corner wider

A collision usually teaches something about space: the turn was too tight, the boost lasted too long, or a gap was already closing.

If the attempt slips

On the next attempt, leave earlier and use a wider curve at the same danger point. Change one choice at a time so it is clear whether route, speed, or timing solved the problem.

Player questions

Common arena decisions

How is Worms Zone A Slithery Snake steered?

Guide the worm using whatever steering the screen shows on your device — a swipe zone or arrow directions. Gentle turns and a rarely used speed input keep the arena readable.

When is boosting worth the risk?

Save the boost for a straight stretch or an exit you have already chosen. In packed lanes it eats the reaction time you need for the next turn, so a short controlled burst beats holding it.
