Signal 01 / Board condition
Board condition
The round is complete when you trace a route that lets the extending arm reach the object without touching guards or hazards. Trace the entire route with your eyes before drawing. Allow space for the arm's width around corners, guards, and moving hazards, and prefer broad curves over tight bends. Begin only when the path reaches the target without crossing an uncertain area.

Signal 02 / First clue
First clue
Start by tracing a corridor with your eyes from the hand to the target, including clearance for the arm's full width. Begin on the hand, trace one uninterrupted safe line, and lift only after reaching the object.
Input to expect

Signal 03 / Input and response
Input and response
If contact occurs near a corner, redraw a wider curve rather than making the same path sharper. If the arm touches something near a corner, moving the whole route may create a new collision. Redraw only that section with a wider arc, then preserve the parts that already passed cleanly through open space.

What does one attempt require?
Put the stroke down at the hand, keep it continuous and clear, and raise your finger only once the arm touches the prize. Look over the full path in advance and remember the arm is thicker than the line.
Why does a clear-looking path still hit something?
The route marks where the middle of the arm travels, but the arm is bulkier than the sketch. Give the stroke breathing room on both sides, take extra care at tight corners, and the swing will clear the obstacles.
